修饰特殊形容词的特殊副词

有些形容词在需要加大语气时，习惯上有自己特定的副词。如：

(1) well worth 非常值得

It was well worth waiting for. 这件事倒是非常值得等待。

The exhibition is well worth a visit. 这个展览会值得一看。

(2) sound (fast, deeply) asleep 熟睡

Don’t wake her up—she’s fast (sound) asleep. 别吵醒她，她睡得非常熟(非常香)。

The postman comes at 6.30 in the morning, at which time I am usually fast asleep. 邮递员早晨6点30分来, 这时我一般还睡着大觉呢。

(3) wide (fully) awake 完全醒了

She rose, still not quite fully awake. 她起身时还没有完全醒过来。

He was wide awake when he reached the village. 他抵达村子时已完全醒了。

(4) well content 很认可

I shall be well content to do so. 我会特别高兴如此做。

I should be well content to do the job together with you. 我非常想和你一块干这件工作。
